Jeanette & I headed for the Mt Ragged Track to do the survey on the priority Esperance Duck Orchid. We had a good long search at all the GPS points, but seemed to find far fewer than were found in 2015, so were chatting about why that might be.
We had several more stops on the return journey, finding a variety of different orchids, though nothing special, apart for maybe a range extension for the Bristly Donkey, by about 100km!
It was another great day out with a very knowledgeable orchideer!

HE SAID:
While Varena was out I gave Ean a hand again, fine-tuning our piping for the rainwater. There are still a few little things we need to do to capture all the rain. He also brought along a log-splitter that he has borrowed, so we can split some of the rather large logs out the back, behind the shed, that are virtually unusable as they are, but should burn well, and be more manageable, when split.
There is no news yet on Craig, as to whether he is banned from driving for life, or something else.
